Leah Remini shared the moment when Katie Holmes and Scientology parted ways, and Tom Cruise was there. Katie Holmes has been in the spotlight ever since she started dating Tom Cruise, and their separation did not change that. Holmes has criticized the media for their inaccurate reporting of Tom and Suri’s relationship. Leah Remini claims that the relationship had a significant role in the church of Scientology turning against Holmes as she was leaving.

Leah Remini discussed her problems with Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise when she was a member of Scientology in a conversation with Adam Carolla. Remini didn’t click with Holmes, but when she learned what he was doing to shield her daughter from the church, things took a different turn. In addition to explaining how Holmes felt about Remini, especially after she left the church, we’ll look more closely at how Holmes became the enemy.

Nowadays, it seems like Remini isn’t over her disastrous time in Scientology, and that anger towards Tom Cruise hasn’t subsided either. Let’s take a closer look.

Katie Holmes Taking Her Daughter Out Of Scientology Was A Bad Look For Tom Cruise And Put Her On The Enemy List

Leah Remini disclosed a few details regarding her time in Scientology when speaking with Adam Carolla. The actress claims that things did not get off to a good start when she worked with Katie Holmes. Leah was enraged by Holmes’s purportedly unfavorable report on Remini’s actions because she had been a member of Scientology longer than Holmes.
Finally, circumstances changed, and Holmes left Scientology. Remini remembers the precise moment when things changed, and it was when she made the decision to remove her daughter Suri. Especially for Tom Cruise, this was a horrible look, and it turned Holmes against him. Tom Cruise was attacked by Remini. Remini reveals, “Tom, like all Scientologists, feels that he cannot be connected to Suri because Katie is a suppressive person, who is an enemy in Scientology.”

She continues, “I knew Katie when she was in [Scientology] and she seemed very indoctrinated into Tom’s world,” she said, “but as time went on, and I understood why she did what she did to protect her daughter … I’m only assuming that there’s some type of agreement to protect her daughter.”

Remini has been very open and honest about her time with the church. Though has Katie Holmes reacted to Remini’s past statements?

Katie Holmes Regretted Her Past Dispute With Leah Remini And Wished Her The Best
Katie Holmes’ team did issue a statement about her past with Leah Remini. According to Holmes, there is regret on the way she handled Remini back in the day during their time together in Scientology. Holmes revealed, “I regret having upset Leah in the past, and wish her only the best in the future,” Holmes says.

Katie Holmes wished Leah Remini only the best, while she refuses to talk about Scientology.

“Katie is not making an appearance on the special, nor is she discussing Scientology, or her former marriage, and this quote was provided through her publicist,” her team revealed.

“For any outlet to suggest otherwise is misleading; I would think Leah and the book stand on their own, and don’t need to trade off Katie Holmes for people to tune in.”

It would appear as though Katie Holmes honored her word not to discuss anything related to Tom Cruise, while hasn’t talked about her exit from Scientology either. This is unlike Leah Remini who hasn’t been afraid to share her thoughts. That holds true today, despite Tom’s recent success.

Leah Remini Still Hasn’t Forgiven Tom Cruise Despite His Recent Success In Hollywood

Leah Remini, over on X, cautioned the audience not to be duped by Tom Cruise’s big-screen triumph, particularly in the wake of the box office smash Top Gun: Maverick. “Tom Cruise is fully aware of the practices of Scientology,” Remini stated on Twitter. “Don’t let the movie star charm fool you.” Remini blasted Tom Cruise’s affiliation with Scientology despite his success in Top Gun: Maverick. “No, I will not watch the movie, nor will I ever support or approve of this scam of a man,” Remini stated in her subsequent message. “Trust me, Tom Cruise is aware of the abuses that group commits and exactly who he is backing. While I was there, I collaborated with him.”
Leah tells fans, “You have continued to speak out despite the non-stop attacks from Scientology.”

Remini received no comment at all from Tom Cruise or the Church of Scientology, as was to be expected. As previously stated, it is not permitted to talk poorly of Tom Cruise in church. Even after all these years, Remini hasn’t changed her mind; she’s given numerous interviews and written books that go into detail about her experiences.
